hand-painted Alice on tote bag

I finished painting Alice on this tote bag together with a sack today.  The characters were painted with champagne gold acrylic paint accentuated with true gold acrylic paint.  Which one (see another post) do you like better?

I finished this painting Alice, my favorite cartoon character, on this sack and a tote bag.  The alphabets were painted with pearlescent puffy fabric paint.

Ethereal narcissus

I was once asked why I painted this narcissus so light. Well, because it was made of cold porcelain instead of the traditional resin clay. It is supposed to look like porcelain. And pastel shades go much nicer with the texture of cold porcelain. If I had painted it darker, it would have looked like plastic. Now it has a translucency. Secondly, strong colors tend stay on the surface of cold porcelain. And, once again, it would make the whole product look plastic and unreal. Now it looks more ethereal. Don't you think so?

Handbag-shaped gift box

I designed this handbag-shaped gift box a couple of years ago.  And today I made a new one for a wedding gift.

Nail polish flower pendant

I came across this craft on internet a couple of days ago and put it into practice immediately. And wala! I also created a 2-tier rose by myself and make this pendant!

Fluorescent trinkets

Not only did I made the trinkets with a mixture of cold porcelain and fluorescent clay, but I also tried to make dual color for the orchid flower.

The petals of the orchid were made in two colors of clay (both fluorescent) instead of painting the colors on. The effect is successful as the transitions are smooth without a hard- line seam. But it was really difficult as the purple color has to form a round border. But at last I pulled it off!
All of them were covered with either super glossy or matte varnish for protection.

A nine-year-old student is learning to make the rose pendant.

New ice cream texture I developed

I always suspected there's a better way to make the texture of ice cream (with clay) more realistic.  Then I came up with this a couple of days ago with some secret (but simple) tools other than what I learned from the certificate courses.
